Weird dreams last night, weird enough I remember thinking 'I should write
this down.' but not weird enough to remember now. Did not want to get out
of bed, but I was up and moving on time. Due to the weather, I went to
the mall to walk, which was kind of painful due to the Holiday Armageddon.
Oh well, it got me close to goal, will probably get the rest tonight.
Operation resume update has passed it's first edit pass, friend of mine
pointed out some grammar and spelling glitches. Which isn't surprising,
as I stole bits from 3 separate sets of writing...so I was combining
'ing' 'ed' and other goofyness. Less than I thought though, which is
good. I also throw a bunch of skills into the skillset. I want to throw
together a mundane blog as well, so I can post some geek notes, and a
couple of mundane notes, as well as a host for the RTF version of the resume
once it's done. (or PDF or office or whatever). Currently it's a
Wordpress.com site, but I'm thinking I may cough up the funds for a
sufficiently bland domain name and host it myself. No, I'm not linking
any of my current domains...they're a little too open for my comfort. We'll
see.
Dinner tonight with Amythest, after I do an online survey thing in a
few minutes. It's for a decent amount of funds, which would be nice.
Finances are a little tighter than I planned when I left the 'Pit, not
badly so...but something to keep in the back of my mind. Must be careful
in NYC, especially at the Strand bookstore. *wink*
Slightly more active day, got Linkedin updated with all my technical
jobs, and handed off to beta readers. Been walking in short bunches
due to a nasty blister on my foot. Also got the ebook portion of another
crowdfunded Lovecraftian collection, which got pushed towards the head
of the pile. Also did some other writing, watched some mostly forgettable
movies, and did the basic chores. Went to go read late this afternoon,
and ended up napping til 7. Whoops. Got back up, ate dinner and am currently
camped out at the Desk of Doom (tm) as usual. Tomorrow will probably
be more of the same, well minus the walking outside due to expected storms.
Probably will go to the mall I guess. Might be having dinner with Amythest,
all depends on the crazyness of the life of a teacher. Ok, may be a more
active day, but less to say. Guess I'll call it a post. Catch you all

Sorry I've been pretty quiet this week, not much going on, and I've had a
bad case of the miserables. Today was better, not spectacular, but
better. Got up, went walking at the park I've been walking at...figured
out why I'm getting winded there faster, it's got a bit of an incline,
enough that couch potato me has to work a little harder. Still, made
a decent amount of walking at the park, then threw the weekly store run,
mail/packages and taking out the trash to make goal for the day.
Got the last of my Spawning Day gifts (thank Cthulhu for gift cards),
Guillermo del Toro's 'Cabinet of Curiosities'. Basically a giant book
on him fanpersoning about what he loves. Should be fun. I've also been
doing chores, aiming for low hanging fruit so I can say 'At least I got
X accomplished'.
Books are my escape. Mythos, history and scifi. Been on a quasi marathon
of the SyFy spook show, 'Paranormal Witness', which has taught me inhuman
spirits seem to prefer country music for some reason.
In other news...Fedora has a new version out...I see a lot of upgrading
this weekend. *grabs install ISOs from the download site* Though I'll
probably be doing in place upgrades via dnf/yum.
That's about it, anxiety has been pretty high, today not as much though.
Not sure if it's something I did, or didn't do, or what. But I'm going
to try make tomorrow a repeat, go walking after I wake up vs at dusk.
I know what I really need to do is get my resume completed and handed out
and find a job...but I'm so dreading the process of job hunting (Low self
esteem makes the process a nightmare) that I'm finding/making up reasons
to put it off. *sigh* I know it's a problem, I know I need to put on
my big cultist robes and just do it already, but...terror. *sigh*
I'm a bit of a mess, but that's not news to anyone.
So that's the state of the fox. Could be better, could be much worse.

Well Halloween night was pretty good, until I closed my eyes and went to
sleep. Then it was a night of nightmares, dreaming about the Shoggoth
Pit again, then a weird dream about an ex, finally it lightened up into
some kind of swordfighting dream. Woke up tired and with an achy head.
I'm also kind of down...the Halloween season is over, my spawning day is
long past. Oh well...at least it's cool out, I have a imperial arseload
of books to read, and in a few weeks I'm going back to New York. Yay
returning to the old stomping grounds.
That's about it for today, going to get stuff organized, go pick up meds,
